Passing of Eugene Shabatowski UA Local 179 Retired Member

Eugene Shabatowski passed away June 10, 2012 at the age of 81 years. Eugene was born in Kamsack to Stephen and Anastasia Shabatowski. He left home at an early age and worked in many different jobs until he became a welder, which he enjoyed for 30 years. Eugene also enjoyed working in his garage and building many different things. He also loved to visit with friends and always enjoyed teasing and joking with people. Eugene married Caroline in 1960 and they enjoyed 52 years of marriage, and of this union, their son Randy was born. Eugene is survived by his wife Caroline; and his son Randy of Regina; sisters-in-law Rose Shabatowski of Kamsack, Marion Fellinger of Winnipeg; Glenna Fellinger of Calgary; and many nieces and nephews. Eugene is predeceased by his brothers Louis, Bill and Orest; sisters Anne and Mary; brothers-in-law Larry, Bill and Steve; and sisters-in-law Tina and Irene. A private Family Interment will be held at a later date. Special thanks to the Maguire Centre, Pioneer Lodge, and our family and friends for their support. Memorial donations to a charity of choice, would be appreciated by the family. In living memory of Eugene, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
